A hotel group operating hanihotels.ng needed a pre-launch security review. The site was built on Laravel/PHP, hosted on shared cPanel infrastructure, and about to go live with a booking engine. No security review had been conducted.
A full security and infrastructure audit covering: authentication and session handling, file permissions and access controls, DNS configuration and HTTPS enforcement, exposed sensitive files, dependency vulnerabilities, SQL injection and XSS surface area, and third-party integrations.
Output: a prioritised report across four severity levels (critical, high, medium, low) with specific remediation steps for each issue, a DNS setup brief, and a hosting configuration guide for the cPanel environment.
11 issues identified. 3 critical (immediate action required before launch), 4 high, 4 medium/low. The client received a concrete remediation roadmap — not a generic security checklist, but specific fixes for their specific stack. The site launched on schedule, with all critical and high issues resolved.
We didn't know what we didn't know. The audit made it concrete.
